She’s been exactly where you are. Then she cracked the code.
As a native Hongkonger, Wytane didn't speak a word of Mandarin until it became a compulsory subject in 1997. At first, it felt like an entirely alien language—especially navigating the unfamiliar pinyin and tones. Everything changed when she discovered a game-changing trick to master the new language. Within a year, she went from struggling to consistently scoring 97/100 in Mandarin exams, eventually winning awards at the Schools Speech Festival (校際朗誦節).
Wytane understands firsthand the exact friction points every English and Cantonese speakers face when learning a second language. As a Cantonese native who is IELTS-qualified and certified by the National Putonghua Proficiency Test (國家普通話水平測試 PSC), she brings both linguistic authority and genuine empathy to every session.
